A live music, beatbox and spoken word extravaganza. Featuring live and direct 12Tone from United Vibrations, incredible beatbox MC Marv-ill, poetic punch from UK Slam champion Catherine Brogan and a new acoustic set from Jimmy Geeza.
Monday November 16 at The New Cross Inn. Live acts from 8pm. Hosted by poet/MC Concise One and with resident DJ NG (‘Tell Me’/Rinse FM).
FEATURING
United Vibrations and the 12Tone collective have been packing out Jam Bar, and Passing Clouds with their unique live sound – with influences from drum and bass, hip-hop and afrobeat their sound combines the intelligence of jazz with the raw energy of punk.
Marv-ill – Superlungs is a man and an instrument who’s taken inspiration from Rahzel and early beatbox styles to create his own incredible sound. He’s appeared live on The Paul O’Grady Show and been on the same bill as artists including Mr Midas, Jehst, TY and Bashy.

Catherine Brogan has twice been UK Poetry Slam Champion and won The Belfast Poetry Cup in 2008. She performs as an MC and spoken word artist across the UK and has supported Skinnyman and Scroobius Pip. http://catbrogan.ning.com/
Jimmy Geeza has been making a name for himself on the live music scene with Jimmy and the Banned and will be performing his new solo acoustic set at The Breakout Club.
